The child and babysitting safety (CABS) program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. The course is designed for participants who may be responsible for watching younger siblings, neighbors and relatives children. The program will teach the importance of responsibility, reliability, proper discipline, age appropriate activities, recognizing an emergency, emergency action steps, personal safety, fire, water and food safety, infant care and basic first aid and choking management. The course will help increase the self esteem and self confidence of the potential babysitters. CABS student handbook provides fundamental information for the babysitters. Bring a lunch, water bottle and snack.
