Grades 2-4 Session A (Grade going into fall 2025) Please register before August for the fall field hockey program. No experience is required, the season runs from August - to November and is a travel league. We will travel and play field hockey games against other cities and towns. Participants need to bring a stick, mouth guard, and shin guards. (The dept. has a stick to borrow) Practices 2-3 times a week TBA and games 1-2 a week TBA. A.J. Stables has beautiful acres of pastures and trails. Programs have been created for your child to enjoy a bit of the country in the city. Spend a day on the farm experiencing how to care for and ride a horse. Each day you will receive a riding lesson and learn about feeding, grooming, and maintenance associated with horses. Participants will experience brushing, tacking, cleaning, walking etc. All riding lessons are conducted by a MA Licensed Riding Instructor. All programs take place at A. J. Stables at 1040 East Mountain Road. When dropping off children please drive to the back of the property. A.J. Stables has beautiful acres of pastures and trails. Programs have been created for your child to enjoy a bit of the country in the city. Spend a day on the farm experiencing how to care for and ride a horse. Each day you will receive a riding lesson and learn about feeding, grooming, and maintenance associated with horses. Participants will experience brushing, tacking, cleaning, walking etc. All riding lessons are conducted by a MA Licensed Riding Instructor. All programs take place at A. J. Stables at 1040 East Mountain Road. When dropping off children please drive to the back of the property. PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY.Program guidelines:-No sandals or open toes shoes             -Provide a backpack for personal items-Wear long pants for riding horses         - Bring rain coat on rainy days-No canvas sneakers                             -Program held rain or shine-Bring a snack/drink                             -Apply sunscreen/bugs spray before arrivingParticipants will get dirty so please wear appropriate clothing. Parents/guardians are requested to leave the farm after they drop off their children and not llinger around the farm. Grades 2-4 Session A (Grade going into fall 2025) Please register before August for the fall field hockey program. No experience is required, the season runs from August - to November and is a travel league. We will travel and play field hockey games against other cities and towns. Participants need to bring a stick, mouth guard, and shin guards. (The dept. has a stick to borrow) Practices 2-3 times a week TBA and games 1-2 a week TBA.
